Playaround NYC
PlayaroundNYC was created to help New Yorkers see how well their neighborhoods are supported by playgrounds. It uses walking distance to playgrounds and pollution caused by nearby truck routes to generate an overview of how well different areas of New York City are supported by playgrounds. An interactive map allows users to determine the proximity and quality of nearby playgrounds in all five boroughs.
Uses the following NYC Data Mine datasets: Directory of Playgrounds, Borough & Community Districts; and GIS: Boroughs.
