The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency did extensive water sampling in the 1990s to determine which Navajo water sources were contaminated and which were safe to drink from, but this data was never made available to the public in an accessible form. The Navajo Nation Water Quality project seeks to address that.&lt;/p&gt;
