The SPI Style Trichotomy, created by David Sparks, classifies NBA players' styles in an empirical, bottom-up spectrum, rather than an arbitrary, top-down set of traditional positions. These visualizations plot the "SPI" (Scorer, Perimeter and Interior) styles of the NBA's all-time top 250 players and of the 2007-2008 season players.
